Paula holds a BSc(Hons) in Sport Science and coached basketball at national level whilst running a Sport Science Department at a further education college. Personal injury introduced her to Bowen and her rapid improvement set her on a new career path. She qualified in Bowen in 1998 and has taught Bowen since 2001.

She was the director of the NIHP (Northern Integrative Health Practice) for 10 years and is now the principal of the College of Bowen Studies. She has been a lecturer for the Bowen Technique for 18 years.
