The Biomotional Breath

Living Tensegrity in Action - The Breathing Being

Three-part course with Joanne Avison

The human body is formed in the round. We practice breathing motion as an embryo and once born, breathing defines our living animation. In this short course, we consider the breath in practical ways, including and beyond biomechanical function.

This series of three one-hour lessons will:

  • Give you an overview of the anatomical architecture of breathing

  • Consider the breath beyond anatomical and biomechanical function

  • Provide an understanding of the Universal Breath Technique (UBT) to optimise balance

  • Show subtle application of the UBT and why variability is key

  • Consider the spiritual aspect of the breathing being and how to personalise the practice

  • Show how to do and teach the UBT in class or clinic setting (including online)

  • Reveal the founding relationship to self-regulation and self-awareness
