Receptors in Fascia

Fascia has been described as the most richly innervated tissue in the body with an abundance of mechanoreceptors of various kinds. All manual therapies and exercise regimes activate these receptors in different ways and an understanding of their function can inform our therapy practice and improve outcomes.

In this webinar, Dr. Carol Davis and John Wilks discuss ways of working with them therapeutically focusing on receptors that influence interoception – a key influence on how we perceive our own body and how we relate to the world.
