Bowen Technique and Myotherapy
Formerly a school teacher, Michael has an education background that assists students, under his tutelage, to gain a deep understanding of the Bowen Technique.
Michael completed Bowen Therapy training in 1994 and has been a soft tissue therapist since 1995. He is also a qualified Myotherapist and has operated as a full-time clinician since 1997. He specializes in Remedial and Sports Techniques servicing a wide range of clientele. He is also a trainer and assessor of Bowen Therapy courses and for the Diploma of Remedial Massage and Advanced Diploma of Remedial Massage (Myotherapy). Michael has been a Bowtech Instructor since 1999 and has played a leading role in the National Accreditation of Bowen Therapy training. Michael is also a committee member of the Bowen Association of Australia.
Along with Karen Hedrick, Michael co-founded Border College of Natural Therapies in 2004, and is the Managing Director, responsible for the operations and organisation of the College.
Michael believes that his ongoing practice as a Myotherapist and Bowen Practitioner benefits students through the knowledge gained by his continued experience, and gives him credibility as a trainer and assessor.
