Bowen Technique & Chiropractor
David qualified in 1979 as a teacher in further education at Birmingham University; David’s passion for Rugby and Aikido led him to a change in career. A chance meeting with the principal of the college of chiropractic in Oxford cemented his interest and resulted in him successfully completing a four year diploma course in chiropractic and setting up a practice. In 1994 David trained in the Bowen Technique. He was impressed that its’ subtle non-intrusive methodology alleviated a whole host of physical problems ranging from acute injuries to chronic and long standing conditions. David has taught the Bowen Technique since 1996 in both the UK and abroad, he is one of the UK’s most experienced teachers and practitioners.
David’s enthusiasm for NST came after qualifying in 2002 and he now uses NST extensively in his busy natural healthcare clinic. In 2010 Ron Phelan persuaded David and his wife Birgitte to take on The Tom Bowen Legacy Trust Fund in the UK after the Bowen 2010 Conference where just over £900 was collected. The UK fund now has small charity status and since 2010 has awarded 7 children with mechanical/electrical equipment to enhance their quality of life.
David is a member of AMCST (Association of McTimoney-Corley Spinal Therapists), BTPA (Bowen Therapy Professional Association). Registered with the GCC (General Chiropractic Council). He practises at Leamington Spa in the UK.
