Recognizing and Treating Breathing Disorders

A presentation on breathing pattern disorders, and their assessment and treatment in fascial training and practice.

This Facial Training eHealth Talk describes signs and symptoms of the widespread condition (mainly affecting females) of unbalanced respiration (breathing pattern disorder/BPD). Evidence will be offered linking BPD with disturbed autonomic balance, musculoskeletal and circulatory function - affecting pain thresholds, motor control, core stability and balance, as well as emotional lability. Assessment and rehabilitation strategies will be suggested for fascial training and practice, as well as for other manual therapy courses and practitioners.

The full video recording, the PDF with 137 slides, and our downloadable podcast are available to our members. The slides are from a full two-day training Leon delivers on the topics covered in his book, and are well worth exploring.
